I'd ordered my Cupra before there was an option to get full link for £150. The option appears on my system but as people have mentioned before it says you need to contact dealer for activation code. Fortunately my dealer told me the following and it looks like it should be available soon to activate:

Customers are getting the error message below when trying to use Full Link on model year 2016 cars with infotainment systems that were not factory fitted with the capacity for Full Link.
Full link

The infotainment systems affected are Media System Plus, Navi System and Navi System Plus that were not chosen at the point of ordering.
Customers will be able to purchase Full Link soon as an aftersales accessory on model year 2016 cars with the infotainment systems named above.
Comprehensive details of Full Link will be published soon.
The package will be available through the parts ordering system; the update is completed with a secure code and using ODIS.

We have checked and it is not yet available, I will let you know when it is.

Glad someone else is hearing the same. After a few emails and phone calls, I managed to get the same answer. They say it's in development and should be available in a few months.

Just out of interest have you tried playing media through the cable via iPhone or android. I don't seem to be getting anywhere with it. Not even managing to get usb stick working. Just wondering if it's linked to the problem of not having full link activated.

Good to hear too. Media as in music? I haven't tried anything through usb other than pictures and they work fine off a usb stick. I use Bluetooth for my music.

Yeah I meant 'media in'. I'm a sucker for album art! I can just use sd card for now. Looking forward to having apple CarPlay on the screen. Videos of it look great!

Took delivery of my Mk3 Leon SC FR 2016 model year last week and still no update for full link. Dealer contacted SEAT and they are saying by the end of September.

I have this on my model, delivered to me yesterday and have the full link menu but requires an activation key. The previous models didn’t seem to include the menu if you didn’t purchase the media high but mine seems to come with it and I have the media system plus (says on one of the manuals)

Hello everyone, just got this week reply from my dealer about activation key to let full link work on my 16 Leon FR and the price is ridiculous expensive! 299£ just for a key?!?!
My first question was if that key can stay in my possession when I swap car for example but soon as you install on the radio it will work only once and that's it, bloody option!
Just keep updated about this issue, cheers all ;)

Yeah, that worried me for a moment, it's 199 not 299 will be getting it done on mine at some point in the next few months!! Since getting my car and deciding to get it, I have also acquired a girlfriend and she seems to be getting a fair bit of money, especially with valentines coming up!!

Ok, this was just a simple phone conversation, maybe the guy was wrong, I will double check in the first service next month maybe, but even 199£ for a key I thing is a lot to apply in a company car that will go after 2 years, I also read that Waze app is not working when the car is on the move and that app use was one of my first thoughts to use mirrorlink,

I ordered my FR back in November and I got the Full Link suite free as part of a promotion. I picked up my car at the start of January and im still waiting on my Full Link activation! I'm being told that Seat havnt sent out any keys yet so all we can do is wait. Bit annoying as i'd love to have Android Auto going, especially for Google Maps as I dont have navigation in my car. Bluetooth is good enough for Spotify so far though.

From what I understand it's not just an activation key. It's a CD which I suppose includes the software that needs to be installed. Got my Cupra in late October and like everyone else, it had Full Link in the menu but it needed an activation key. I'm under the impression the actual software isn't installed unless you spec it. I ordered it about 2 weeks ago (€200 here in Greece with a discount), it has arrived but I'll most likely install it on Wednesday.

can anyone confirm if you get an extra usb only with factory full link or does MY16 have an extra port as standard ? could be a problem upgrading to full link without a convenient usb ?

It's where the ashtray usually is. Under the climate control. I think for the 2016 model they moved the USB from the glove box. I don't remember seeing one in there.

I can confirm, USB now is under the dash on my MY16 Leon XP.

Vassilis, did you manage do enable your Full Link? 200 euro is good price for post-activation.

Here it is like 300 euro as ordering after you get your car, and if ordered initially like 150 euro.
