I run the J variant on mine, no probs at all and the logs show it as well.

You're making out that its some kind of wonder mod, it only changes the way the boost is delivered, nothing else, what one valve will be good at, the other wont be and vice versa.

I've tried the C, F and J. (The C came as standard.)

The C and F are hardly different at all, smooth. The J is more aggresive and gives more mid range, but less top end.

The car felt better to drive with the J, as i spend most of the time in the low rev range, not always between 5 and 6k.

I hit possitive boost deviation errors with the J sometimes in the very cold, as the boost would peak at around 1.2 bar at 4.5k.

thanks mike, we will try the F on wednesday and ill do another log, from the one on the first page, i will hopefully get 156lb/ft torque, that lgo is low on power. feels so laggy. unlike yours!

If not ill let the next people to map it rolling road it to see the problem in person.

K03s is fitting today! :D

anybody care to tell me why my car is down on power as standard with good MAF readings? i'm 10lb/ft below CupraTGirls with only 2 g/s difference on the MAF.

it will loose, she pulled on me when i had revo, so i know somethings not right.

It feelsl ike theres nothing until 5k where it picks up, ill do another log on wed with mike with the F valve, and post it up. It felt better with a new valve, but the wierd thing is, everybody elses feels faster/is faster than mine! wierd.

Dont forget Flash, as a passenger a car feels quicker anyway, if you drove mine with me as a passenger, I'd prob cack me pants!!

Sometimes I get Lina to drive mine a bit nuts, so I can feel what its like as a passenger.

You were impressed on Sunday then... even with the bridge? haha :roflmao:

Will do buddy....will do.

Maybe I'll avoid the *take off ramp* this time...

Then we'll stick my ECU in your motor, along with my F valve and I can see what my car will be like in a few months...

*Note to Hooch, hurry up with that Big Turbo!

Just for reference, I bought my car brand new in 2001 and it came with an 'F' type valve as standard. I'd say it's best to stick with whatever valve originally came with the car. I've tried an 'H' type out of curiosity and the boost is alot more aggressive than the 'F' type but seems to tail off quicker. Limp mode was a regular problem so I changed back to standard and left it like that.
