Changed the coolant expansion tank. After re-ordering a couple of times, I just went with the Nissens one. I thought it was a "G12" version and not a G13 with the silica bag. I removed the bag off course before fitting it.

Cap was also swapped out. Cheap item and its a mechanical item in the end (spring loaded cap)

With the subwoofer removed, I went ahead with insulating the boot. This made a big difference in sound deadening. There is already sound deadening material applied from the factory, but never hurts to add a little more.

Just by tapping the metal, you will hear what parts need the most attention.

One of the first times when I needed to fill up. I was notified that the mileage could be a tad better. After this, I resetted adaptations and tried again :)

This was already heaps better than the mileage of the CLS55, where it averaged out on 1:6 :ROFLMAO: Also the CLS55 has an 80 liter tank vs 50 liters on the Cupra

Have you played with the Individual mode settings yet, you can turn on coasting (cant recall the name on the screen) to allow the engine to drop to tickover when you are cruising on the motorway and are going down a hill

Went to the local Carglass for a "nano coating", which is essentially RainX but stays on much longer. I already tested this on the CLS55 and some other cars before that. Big adventages: less need to use the wiperblades and I almost dont need to scrape the window when it freezes.

Costs: 39 euro, and it stays on for at least the winter months which is a bargain for me (y)

I discovered that recently, I was driving in Comfort until not too long ago. I put the engine behaviour in Comfort instead of Eco and tweaked some other settings, Individiual mode it is :cool:

But its not an eco car in my eyes, so I refuse to use it that way haha :LOL:

My latest fill was already better than this one, will post that in a later stage

Decided to replace the cigarette lighter replacement with another one. The one I installed first needed to be switched on everytime, which I think is a nuissance. I replaced it with another one, which also looks better in my opinion

The dial in the Sport menu feels useless for me. It shows absolute pressure (so inc ambient pressure) and not boost pressure/vacuum. Also the placement of the screen is not inviting for me and feels unsafe when flooring it.

So I decided to add a boostgauge from "Greddy". This is probably not the real deal, but I simply don't care because the quality is that good.. I have no other words for it. The gauge reacts very fast and the builtin screen has a very high DPI and good response time. When starting up, it has a staging/needle sweep routine, awesome :love: This unit works with a pressure sensor, instead of routing the vacuum hose all the way to the back of the gauge.

To easily tap boost pressure, I found this adapter which sits between the MAP sensor and intake manifold. Fitment also 100% and makes things easier.

Luckily, our Seat/VW brothers made it very easy to route some cable/hose into the cabin. Right behind the brake pedal for the drivers seat (in the correct place, J/K for my UK brothers ;) ) there is an unused bung. So punch through that, presto!

After routing power (I tapped off the cigarette lighter fuse), it simply works! Screen has adjustable colors (also for day/night), the screen below is also able to show battery voltage etc.

Again, I am very happy with this modification :love:

Changed the behaviour of the gas pedal to linear mode. Apparently some people notice difference, and some don't. For me it definitely feels more linear than before, which is more to my liking.

Replaced those rusted out discs which hold the heat shield with brand new ones (from Aliexpress). On some parts the material of the heat shield was rusted away that I had to use spacers.

I wanted to replace the solenoid for the cutout valve as it was Tee-d from the brake booster hose. I am not a fan of splicing into important hoses like the brake booster hose, so that will need replacing.

I bought a standalone vacuum pump. I had a similar one in the Mercedes CLS55, which worked great. But after connecting everything, the pump is not working as it should. It keeps trying to create vacuum, even though the cutout valve is already open. Currently working things out with the supplier...
