Hi All,

Currently driving a cupra 300 and I love it but it's leaking coolant from thermostat housing and is costing a fortune to run even in drive .

My commutes are changing as I may need to travel down south alot and looking to change . Would be talking 487 miles each way maybe once or twice a month

Looking for something that's more fuel efficient. Would love something with a bit of power but not essential .

Any suggestions would be great ? Thanks.

A BMW or an Audi with a 3.0l diesel turbo will get you mid 40's on a motorway run and have a decent turn of pace

Hi, I get just over 40mpg on a long run from my CUPRA Leon 245. Not as quick as a 300, but still great to drive and the burble from the exhaust will still make you smile. If you’d prefer diesel, my daughters partner has a Mercedes 2.0 diesel C class and he gets over 60mpg on his commute of around 40 miles each way.
