Neon gear knob replacement

Hey guys, newbie to the forum, desperately need some help and guidance!!

I've just snapped up a bargain off ebay, for a new neon gear knob, but it has come with no fitting instructions. Does anyone know how to remove the factory fitted gear knob, and how you would apply and wire the new gear knob to the car?? I have a GTi Cupra Sport model Ibiza, and I'm a bit worried about letting myself loose on it without knowing the correct procedures.

Just unscrew it, lift up gaitor and pull out clip

and then replace it with a Mk4 Golf leather one.....

throw the LED one in the bin !!! lol

if you're serious about it, the best place to take the wiring feed from, would be the cigarette lighter..... switched live so it only ones on with the ignition.

Thanks guys. I had a go at taking it out yesterday, but it would only unscrew so much before spinning around on itself. is that the point where the clip doesnt allow it to be removed? It was also suggested that i could take the live from the handbrake warning light switch? which do you suggest would be the easiest to reach?
