Hi guys!
Just bought this.. A Leon Cupra R 225! Pretty fast for a 17 year old but pretty damn expensive too! :(((
Pretty much standard at the mo' and that's the way it's gonna stay for the near future. Need to let my bank account recuperate...
But nice to be here!
Cheers

A 17 year old cupra r? Really! I thought the R's only came about in 2003! And the 225 Bam engine in 2004! Maybe im wrong, you defo sure its 17 or have you made a typo! Im not even sure the first Leon ever made would be 17 yet!!!!

YOLO fella! But go steady and get that first years no claims under your belt, it makes a huge difference to running costs

I don't even think you would get insured. No pics either I'm suspicious. Cars group 18 insurance. My cousin had a quote for aMMetro and it was 8k. Plus let bank account recover seriously unless the parents are minted what 17 year old has loads of money in the bank?

The OP hasn't been back online since making their one and only post so most likely hasn't read the replies yet

Woahhh, jeeze guys back off! I actually turned 18 about a month ago but somehow I keep forgetting that.. The insurance is 2k with a black box for three months with Bell Insurance. Taht's for 10 months (But NCB 2 months early) and how do I post pictures? says I can't link URL as no posts as of yet!

Think you need over 15 posts to put pics up.

I could be wrong here but I think the no claims you earn from companies that give it after 10 months aren't transferable to other companies. Just something to bear in mind if it is correct.

Congratulations, shoulda seen the **** I was driving at 18!

:blink:Yeah I found that out, I'm planning on staying with bell but only if there's no black box for three months next year? I don't know if they'd make me have it again or if they gathered enough data this year?

Hahaha cheers! To be honest, I live in a pretty rural area which means insurance prices are pretty reasonable? I still payed 1.6k for my 1.1 C2 last year though! As soon as I've got 15 posts under my belt I'll post a pic with timestamp and my cheesy mug so you've got definitive proof haha!

And actually yeah, I used a little of my savings to which relatives said 'use on something you love' and guess what? I love cars! So I decided to use some (Pretty much all of) my savings on this and the insurance!

The car cost me 4.5k and I part ex'd my old C2 to get it for 3k the insurance was 2k so it all works out at about 5k! But I can understand it seems fishy aha, but I will post a pic with timestamp and shtooff..

But anyways, cheers for the complimentary interrogation?;)
