Hey folks, recently bought myself a 2003 Leon cupra r with 80k on the clock which I thought was pretty low for the age . I’d like to run it for a bit as is... ie no mods, bone stock. But I’ve come from a focus st 5 banger with 300bhp, I’d like to achieve somewhere close to this with the Leon in the long run. If anyone could link me to a build thread or similar as I’m sure it’s been achieved lots of times.

Honestly mate the ST was the worst car on fuel I’ve ever had. I’ve had both an evo and several imprezas all of which were better haha I like the feel of the cupra compared to jap stuff I’ve had previously
Yes mate been a ford guy my whole life. I just got into vag too over the years. Im more into Sierra and classic fords but I love the focus st 5 cylinder engine in my opinion one of the best engine sounds I’ve ever heard on a standard road car. I’ve always wanted a focus st in black.
always wanted a Sierra cosworth but they’ve never been cheap in my driving life. My st was panther black with black wheels and being st3 had the nicer interior. the 5 banger sound is incredible, I did debate getting a Volvo C30 T5 before the Leon but honestly I’m glad I’ve got the cupra now. Just got a lot to turn about the 1.8t’s as this is my first and there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice online
