Hi Everyone,
I have an issue with my car not wanting to crank over let alone start. Its a 2.0 TDI FR. The battery had enough power to turn everything on but when it came to start it nothing, apart from the dash doing the recover from low voltage and POSTing.
I've connected Vagcom and the only things that pop up are the climate control forgetting settings "feature", antenna not being connected correctly to the radio and a faulty differential pressure sensor (on order, can't wait to rip out the air box).
The battery (which was already a replacement) had leaked and was not reporting a very healthy voltage. So £122 (and healthy voltages) later I'm still in the same situation however the dash doesn't POST when I'm not trying to crank so I fixed one part of the issue at least. Does anybody know which fuse the starter sits on? I had a quick look at them earlier but none seem blown and the manual might as well go in the bin for the help it is.
I don't particularly want to spend another £170-£280 + labour (depending on the variant on the car and lack of space and jacks etc.. to do this myself) so I'm hoping with all hope that the start motor hasn't
it self and it's a fuse I haven't checked correctly
Thanks for any help you can give
Dan
