Oil filter to use?

Hey guys I have a Seat ibiza sports coupe 2009. Just a quick one I was.wondering which filter is best to use?

Anyone with this car able to tell me which filter they use and also how you rate it?

Also does anyone know what brand seat uses as OEM?

I have always just bought the VW Group filter from a VW or SEAT dealership parts department - and bought a new sump plug at the same time, saves worrying about saving a couple of £s and hoping that you have bought one that works as intended. Obviously VW Group do not manufacture filters so any VW Group one you buy will be just re-branded from an approved filter manufacturer.
I do the same for air filters and if I need one, fuel filters. Pollen filters are a different item all together, but curiously I find ECP sells one of the brands that VW Group tend to use (Mann) and I buy a newer much improved pollen filter from ECP (Frecious).

Edit:- for most if not all people that service their cars, "rating" an oil filter is just not going to happen as how could you do that - you would need to get the drained oil analysed to check what is getting past the filter along with monitoring the general engine wear by stripping it down, maybe don't over think this and just buy a VW Group filter.

Only thing we can check build quality. Weight is usually an indicator that it has good build quality.

Thanks for input guys. I probably worded wrong when I meant quality. I just mean more has.anyone had.pr0blems with one filter over another etc. Leaking, doesn't feel as robust compared to another etc. I know we would need a lab to properly test everything lol

In all my cars I've just bought from euro carparts Mann filters... Oil, Air and Fuel .... Never had any issues... But it's always, prudent to Check the compatibility first time round...
