Hi,

Sold my V5 last week after 6 years as needed something bigger for my growing family, just too damn small in the back ! Thanks for everyones help over the years much appreciated.

I now have a Honda Accord and very nice it is too though may need a new clutch :(

When I sold the V5 it was working perfectly. Engine was sweet as , serviced last November and not missing a beat. On the last MOT there was an advisory for a small oil leak which I did notice as a few drops on my drive. It hardly burnt any oil and it didn't really concern me.
I showed the buyer the last MOT with this advisory and was very honest with the issues with car.

The guy I sold the car to has said it has developed a large oil leak on the passenger side of the car. Any ideas what this could be? I feel bad as he had this issue so quickly but I was very honest with him.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks.

I wouldn't feel bad about it , if you didn't notice it then you've not lied about it and it's up to him to check what he's buying is suitable for his needs

But back to the leak. If it's rather big he should be able to pin point it ,
Sump plug , can cover gasket ect this list is endless ,

Personally sounds like he's trying it on with your good nature
