Right 2 questions really, first is a perforamnce panel filter satisfactory to get revo stg2 i know you need an induction kit but didnt know if a panel filter counted as one.

Second what is the best one to get i have seen some on AGTI's website they are quite cheap really

DynaTwist rubbish... :p...BMC is the ONLY way forward. But If i were you, id get a bmc CDA and get some custom pipework made.

the reason i ask is due people seeing the same results with a modded airbox i.e smoothed one and with a panel filter as they are with a BMC just minus the noise i just wanna see if it was ok fro revo stg2

Iv'e logged both on my LCR and the dynatwist flowed far better especially over 6k rpm!!!

Jabba said exactly the opposite when i asked them.

There is a BMC on ebay at the moment if your going down that route bentaw

Perhaps people dont understand what i am asking, i already have a BMC CDA i have since taken it off and gone back to my standard induction kit, what i want to know is will a performance panel filter be fine for Revo stg2 and what is the best one to get, I dont want a dynatwist or another BMC or K&N or Green or Pipercross i am after a panel filter but need to now the answers to the above. If after i have tried the panel filter and it doesnt flow as much as the BMC or doesnt seem as good then i will take it off and put the BMC on as that is the best one i have tried so far.

That seems a bit irish to me :D ;)

Why change a performance enclosed induction kit for a panel filter when going revo stage 2? Surely you want it as free as a tarts fanny breathing wise;)

Have you tried the search buddy, the green panel filters are around £45 and from what i hear fairly good:)

but if a smoothed airbox with a perfromance panel filter is flowing the same air as a BMC surely it is irish (no offence to the irish) to spend nearly £250 on a BMC when you can spend £50 quid on a panel filter that flows the same air

You would need a dremmel and other tools to smooth the airbox along with time and effort, is it really worth it especially when you already have a BMC?

In your signature, you do mention in the future you will be going BT. Is a panel filter going to be sufficient enough to flow 350bhp?

Im sure someone has done some logging with the smoothed airbox and it faired quite well, a search should bring it up.

cool where did you get it from and how much, what turbo do you have for that power then

when jabba fitted the vf24 ihi turbo they removed the dynatwist and fitted a standard lcr box and green panel filter...couldnt say how much as staring at the invoices still hurts!

it works and is quieter... ish.... 320bhp isnt really ever going to be quiet.

not sure if it would cope with 350bhp tho...

just to say main reason for change was a bigger maf for the turbo and the lc twisty wouldnt have fitted. std airbox was cheapest proven option :D
