Morning all,

I've managed to get my mitts on a Handsfree kit with iPod connection. :D I've wanted one for a while now but funds have stopped me however I now have one with a colour screen and don't know where to mount it. Do you have one? Where is it mounted?

If anyone has any pics of there's it would be really appreciated if you could share them with the class ;)

Many thanks in advance

Barney

i fit these all the time at work nomally to t5 transporters and other vans. i normaly fit the screens to the a piller trim using a little screw, alternatively ave you got any switch blanks if you have then you can modify one to acomadate the screen

I also have a parrott 9200, I've got the screen stuck between the dials and the remote on the door next to the window switches. The screen covers some of the warning lights but the car beeps when they light up anyway.

i take it the screens removable? what about mounting it in the centre console by the gearstick area/cubby area.?

I like this idea. Might give that a try.

I like the idea of having the remote by the window switches, how do you have it secured?

if you can wait till tomo i will take some picks of the ones in our vans at work i know its not a leon but might give you an idea ,

i wouldnt recomend putting it down low as it will distract you as you drive

if you have a free switch cover you can screw it into that and then when you need it removed you can just replace the cover

I had a 3200 in my old car, mounted just to the left of the ESP button, it fitted quite nicely in the gap there.

I've now got a CK3000 evolution (I think) as I found I never used the screen after a few months.

I wanted it hidden as well as possible, so mounted it in the little coil tray:

I'll upload some pictures of it tomorrow as I'm on my iPhone now. They come with 3M sticky pads, so it's just stuck onto the door and then onto the clear plastic on the speedo etc. I used to have it mounted just bellow my heater controls and found that looking down at the screen and away from the road was more distracting! The only thing you will need to do is lower the brightness on the screen slightly otherwise it's slightly dazzling at night!

I didn't need to it has a normal ISO block the same as the leon so it was simple plug and play.

As for the yellow mute, I simply plugged that into itself making a loom of the yellow wire.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply.
