red fogs might look pretty cool too and match the red rear lights, obviously you couldnt use them then but hardly need to anyway

Front fogs? I'm not quite so sure on that idea.. I don't run front fogs anymore due to the pipework for the intercooler.

looks decent mate, fairplay making strut brace too, do u notice much difference??

I don't really drive it in a manner to really tell a difference.. More for looks than anything!

Not so great an update :

Went to the garage tonight, on my way back heard an odd metallic pop noise and the car wouldn't rev.
Pretty much coasted to a stop blowing smoke everywhere, popped the bonnet and it's chucked all it's oil out through the breather / oil cap from what I can see.

I'd imagine the turbo has gone and possible blown the engine!

I'll have to get it recovered to work tomorrow and have a look into it!

So a couple of months has passed..

I ended up with 'just' a damaged turbo.

The car sat at work untouched for a few weeks whilst I worked out what I wanted to do..
In the end I decided on a 130 'hybrid' that is supposed to have uprated bearings etc.

This was fitted, but as my luck goes.. Wasn't straight forward. As you can see..

Also found the manifold was warped when I removed it, put this down to the quality of the 'specialist' though. I had the impeller replaced and refitted the turbo.
I've still got some issues annoyingly, a squeaking noise around 1500-2000 rpm. So far I've tried a pressure test, that had me find a split hose -

So this was replaced with a forge item -

That got rid of most of the noise, but there is still a squeak.. That needs finding!
Anyway, had the car mot'd as it had run out whilst the car was off the road.

Also replaced the intercooler, as it had collected most of the turbo!

Once I have the squeak sorted, it's going to need another remap.
This will be done by faboka - hidden-power.co.uk

Another small update -
I've had nothing but trouble with the hybrid, ended up going back four times and wasn't right each time, so got my money back on that today!

This means I had to sort something out to get my car running, so I've bought a 130 garrett for the time being!

Now focusing on getting gtb1756 turbo and parts sorted! So any guidance / help from anyone that's done the swap already would be appreciated!

Excellent work so far dude!

Also had someone ask for a parts list for the tip I've put together..

45-60mm silicone 90 degree reducer.
1/2 meter of 60mm alloy pipe.
60-78mm silicone 90 degree reducer.
1/2 meter of 80mm alloy pipe.
80mm silicone hose - 150mm long.
80mm alloy pipe 45 degree bend.
80mm silicone hose - 150mm long.

2x 63-68mm clamps
1x 47-51mm clamp
5x 85-91mm clamps

Fantastic info, might give this a shot myself, my current standard intake setup isn't the best.

Check out my RR thread. I've done the conversion and it's fantastic. Any questions and I'll be happy to help :)
