Can anyone tell me what this connector is for? Its a black 2 pin connection and on my car its unplugged with no wiring nearby

Can anyone tell me what this connector is for? Its a black 2 pin connection and on my car its unplugged with no wiring nearby
No it hasn't thrown a code and I have a scangauge 2 aswell so would have found what it was easy enough if it had thrown a code. Where would the connector on the loom be to plug into it so can search around as I have looked and can't see the mating part ?
From memory the connector part comes down from the wiring loom at the left hand side of the injectors
Mate ur an absolute legend, the stupid thing was hiding under the throttle body! Had the inlet off for painting this weekend and I have obviously overlooked this. This is the reason I love forums
All sorted mate, was the knock sensor, I totally forgot about it when I pulled my fuel rail off to get my inlet manifold off, then didnt plug it back in when re assembling as the connector had found its way under the throttle body so I didn't see it to plug it back in
