Please help me out

I was going along a road leading to a motorway at 60 and next minute the car started running on limp mode and the ecu starts flashing. I pulled over and turned the car off and on and now the ecu light is staying on steady. I think its sounds like its running on 3 cylinders. so I took it to my mate that used to have a cupra and he thinks its a coil pack as his had done the exact same thing at 1 point. The car was just serviced on thursday with iridium plugs and apparently had a coil replaced, but I was told it was just a spring that was replaced and not the actual pack.

Does this sound about right?? And what do you think it could be??

yeah mate, its defo running on 3 cylinders (sound like a scooby) and its smelling of unburnt fuel

Is it easier just to check individual coilpacks rather than put it on vagcom?

Need to know if the majority think thats what it is before i go buy one tomorrow

i had it vagcom'd to determine which one it was. Ideally you should replace them all anyway (so i read somewhere?!)

right, i put all brand new coils on the cupra and still running on 3 cylinders. Think it might be a spark plug? any ideas?

check the sensors.... im having similar issues

turned out to be 1 of the new coilpacks was dodgy, everything is sorted and running smooth
