Popping Noise not SOS

I also have this click-click or pop-pop and then the infotainment system goes mad - in my case the air conditioning wouldn’t work, auxiliary heating came on the sat nav said ‘off-road’ ‘do a u-turn’ - I was on the M25 (so less than helpful) and the hated ‘SOS’ came on switching off did not help. Seat wanted screen shots. Etc as iritis nota known issue. In the end I phoned SOS and explained I was sitting on the drive - the operative groaned with a sense of’ it another one’ and told me she would reset it- and it worked. My advice is that if Seat want you to phone then phone - remember it’s their problem not yours.
Think this is the normal pop pop sos fault, the one I had in this thread was the button audio confirmation noise which I had to switch off.
Still having problems with my sos issue getting new infotainment control unit fitted and latest software done when it goes in fo it’s service

Weird that I get the pops, only when driving in an urban area, but no errors or other problems I can see - is there a specific volume I can change to reduce the pop - it is very loud and my wife hates it.

I did look at the volume settings but there are like a hundred of them...

People say it's the mobile reception in specific areas leads to it. Mind you a lot of the MQB Evo issues get placed to specific bits of road. The L/R undertaking confusion of lane assist is another. That I reckon is the map data affecting the cars system, suppose to be a fix for that one now being rolled out, whilst the popping is mobile reception.
