I think you need to ease off the gas on corners to be honest (on track) I know what you mean though.
For me ("220bhp + 360 lb/ft") 1st and 2nd is a case of "forget it!" - Those gears now need to be thoroughly treated as gentle gears - 100% WOT will actually be worse. Now 3rd gear is another story. Occasionally it spins up, but generally it is the gear to be making good progress in. Traction is decent, the high boost & fuelling propel it from 30 to 70 so fast I daren't look at the speedo.
Torque has also become less of an issue with me - due to huge boost surge low down in the rev range, I cannot pull away aggressively in low gears - I just get a loud CH-CH-CH-CH-CH-CH-CH-CH and not much acceleration. It needs shifting down a cog to 2000rpm minimum to make good progress (when fuelling can cope with the 1.5bar+ pressure trying to be forced in by the hybrid)
Oh, and the map is not spikey at all. Its pretty decent.

Power needs verifying elsewhere to be 100% sure, but given the 151 as standard it ran (also did 140 @ wheels at TSR as standard) I believe the 220 pretty well. (allow couple of BHP for very cold air at the time too)
