Hi guys,

Just a quick question, I have a 2001 cupra 20vt, could I fit the 225 bodykit and wheels to it? Reason being I don't have the money to buy or insure a 225r

Thanks, Jamie

Just remember though - you should really tell your insurance company about any mods you do.......might be worth checking with them first.

Good luck in finding a full Lcr kit and wheels ! Mega mega money. All 2nd hand....Front bumper £250, rear £150, skirts £100, clips and arch liners ???, wheels £400 +.
Then you got the respray.
Fair play if you can get a good deal somewhere.

It is stupidly over priced, cheapest complete bumper is around £400 and wheels are also this price. I've decided to go for the FR body kit, it's a lot lot cheaper.

As far as insurance there isn't a noticeable increase. I've also read somewhere that if you use parts from the same manufacturer you don't have to pay extra? You just have to declare?

Not sure about that matey. If your making it look like an LCR it makes it more attractive to thiefs which would surely increase your premium? But hopefully it doesn't and you can do bits gradually. We have all been there wanting cars we can't insure.

I'll give them a ring for a quote. Yeah I know what you mean, my cupra 1.8t is £800 fully comp 2 years no claims, but a cupra R is £1800. It's stupid.
