Race Chip Car Throttle

Has anyone used these, seems so cheap (which scares me)

On the 2.0 TDI CR claims 170bhp increased to 193bhp & Torque 350nm to 391nm

I like car throttle and saw the vid of them fitting the race chip to the 330D. Shame they didn't dyno it though. I'd be slightly worried as the equivilent DTUK box is nearer £400.

Those are huge numbers. Guess if it's true that what everyone has.

I'm just guessing. But I think the DTUK box has a number of settings. So potentially, you could try the max setting, but likely the engine would just pull timing. So I think it's more a theoretical maximum. Like I have my Revo timing set to 5. I could set it to 9 which would add a load of torque. But chances are the engine wouldn't last very long.

Makes sense, really interested in the Car Throttle one but....

Its really cheap which worries me.
I had an Angel Remap on my Octavia vRS Mk1 for about 160k miles and was super.

Don want to spent the money on a Revo Remap if this is just as good for 1/4 the price.
