Rattle from Passenger Footwell / Glovebox!!

Hi all,

I have a seat leon mk2 and it's developed a plastic rattle and it sounds like it's coming from the passenger footwell. It doesn't sound like the glove box. Sounds like its coming from the top left in the passenger footwell.

The rattle is only apparent over 50mph and sounds like a plastic rattle!

I have checked the glove box screws and they are all right.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Its very annoying!

Thanks

Not sure, but on the Cupra, round about there, there is a plastic slide cover for the pollen filter. I managed to shake mine loose. But if it is the same, that piece of trim can be removed quite easily, so hopefully what ever is causing it will drop out.

Hi,

I removed the plastic trim below the cabin filter in the passenger footwell and it appears the rattle still cannot be located.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

Hi All,

Just to let you know this issue has now been resolved.

It appears the flex pipe attached to the airbox was wiggling about at high speeds which was causing the vibrations which made it sound like it was coming from the passenger footwell.

I tied this up with some cable ties and no more rattles over 70MPH!

Picture attached for your references.

Thanks
