Rattling when I switch the climate control on.

Hi

I have an MY02 Cupra and today I have started getting a rattling (lasts for about 3 seconds, stops for 3 seconds then goes again) and sounds like a woodpecker (as in taptaptaptaptap) I only get it when the climate control is switched on and its exactly the same no matter what temp or level the CC is on. It seems to be coming from under the glovebox and all the blowers are still outputting air and the temp seems correct.

Is it just something loose or a stone or something in one of the pipes or something more serious?

is that where the pollen filter is on the leon, (is on the ibiza) could be worth taking the filter out if its there, see if anythings lodged

Ok took it to Seat... The gearing was slipping in one of the climate con motors and making the noise- All fixed now tho and not too expensive
