Re-map

I have just swopped my 2016 3 door Leon Cupra 290 for a 2020 version. The drive on my new car is way tamer than my last one with no exhaust popping etc. Do I need to have it re mapped and if so can anyone recommend somewhere in the north east or as near the north east as possible?

Thanks for the advice, but I am ashamed to say it means little to me. What is the res delete?

In the exhaust system there’ll be a resonator. This suppresses the sound coming from the exhaust. Removing this can make the exhaust note sound better and louder. Very slight improvement in performance too. I haven’t done a res delete as I have 2 in my exhaust system as I have a Cupra 280. I have a stage 1 remap, which has slightly changed the exhaust note too. Try OBDeleven. It’s a device to alter hidden options. You can keep the exhaust flaps open constantly to improve exhaust note, and you can turn the soundaktor off (the fake engine noise fed through the speakers) so you can hear the real engine and exhaust note.
