rear strut brace

Hi my car is modified to within an inch of it's life but can i fit a rear strut brace! NO! It's got a upper and lower on the front but there seems to be nowhere to fix too on the rear ! Any one any ideas? Oh the car is a mk4 tdi 130 ibiza.

Try a search, you can get a rear brace and its been covered many... many times!

hi ya can buy a strutt brace for the rear but there about £90 i made mine its a temp one at the min to i get chance to make bigger one

I doubt very much its 'that' modified if you dont have a rear one already

Hi every one im new to the site so would like to say hi again as i've been told you don't bite! My car is a seat ibiza tdi130 which has a few mods from allards, jabba and awsome gti. Turbo,intercooler,manifold, exhaust,remap,clutch, suspension,big brake kit,strut braces,seat, steering wheel,weight reduction,wheels and a quiffe lsd I do a few track days and 3 trips to the daddy of all tracks (nurburgring) a year. Want to do my first ring trip this year on 8th may to 12th may 2009 any one going or interested in going?

Hi. Yes i have a jabba ARB and a major improvement it has made! Understeer almost nil now. Only done a few miles with the new lsd as its only a few weeks old so that should help as well. Going back to the rear strut brace i cant see where you fix it too as there are no fixing points at all.

Cheers for that info nathwarr !! Will have another go on that one. Will try the forge strut as i had a omp version that looked totally different to the one forge used. However the front upper and lower omp struts fitted easly. Cheers.

Thats fine, they come with a turbo, intercooler, manifold, exhaust, clutch, suspension, 5 seats a steering wheel, wheels....

The real question is, what turbo, intercooler, manifold, exhaust, clutch, suspension and so on Bubbles has

Hi t spark! tubo is a vnt hybrid thing with maifold to match with full milltek big bore stainless exhaust plus big fat intercooler all done at allards in glouster about 3 years ago. susspension is eibach pro street, with jabba rear arb, it has a sachs organic clutch, tarox 6 pots 312 mm ( 2 weeks old) plus quiffe atb lsd (2 weeks old) done at awsome gti, cobra monaco seat, omp corsica steering wheel b&m short shifter and a bit of weight loss. Hope to be at oulton park last wk in feb for a track day if you like to race!

Oh had a dyno run at jabba and it gave 205 bhp 380 lbs ft torque.

Alot of torque for the bhp figure... What turbo hybrid do you have? (this is why you need a readers ride thread mate!)

I have the same coilovers, but Helix race spec clutch and SMF. Assume its a VT2 good for 220bhp.

Yes i got to much smoke over 205bhp. Thats the figure i got off the jabba dyno. Im not that interested in figures just like driving it.

i know you had all this done by pro's but just wondering if anyone else has been able to complete the work themselves as im ver mechanically minded and get a way better kick out of doing my own mods than paying some one else obviusly with exceptions to the turbo work but im sure i could install everything correctly. is this possible? i know brakes, intercooler hoses not sure on the arb's as without ramp may be more difficult never done this before you see.
