rear washer leaking...

I've taken the wash wipe apart and there's a small copper/brass tube that's corroded and broken inside the wiper spindle. So when I wash/squirt it fills my boot with water :(

So... what's my options?
  • I could buy the whole new unit from seat (kerching)
  • I could go wiperless, is this still cool?! I did this as a lad with my old golf
  • I could snip a wire (which one?)
  • I could pull a fuse (I think the wiper motor is on the same fuse so I reckon this isn't an option)
  • replace/fix the tube? Is there a clever fix I don't know about for the corroded tube? anyone make replacements? ... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/kevin.yeoman/A3RearWashWipe/A3RearWiperRepairKit.jpg

I'm fishing for tips here, not sure how to fix it, any ideas appreciated

Cheers :)

Personally I'd just taker the whole thing off as seats around that time were terrible for leaking washer pipes. mines been broke since i got it and it hasnt bothered me. not really worth the time and effort personally :)

thanks,

in the end I blocked the tube with a screw so it didn't leak water and I put it back on the car as I was missing the rear wiper. I couldn't bring myself to spend £40 on the repair kit just for a copper tube.
