Hi Everyone

Just bought an FR150 TDI and there appear to be some streaks/stains on the glass of the rear windscreen.

A little hard to make them out in the picture, but has anyone else had

this problem and know what it is? I'm hoping it's not permanent damage.

Wondering if the car has been cleaned with something unsuitable for glass, or if it's hard water stains etc. Car came fully valeted & washed, and I haven't tried to clean it up with anything more aggressive than Rain-X so far.

Bizarrely, you can only see them from the outside of the car.

@Danny Jones; it looks as if it could be some sort of detailing product or glass sealant that the seller has applied when prepping the car before you picked it up and they’ve omitted to buff it off.

I’d suggest using a good glass cleaner. If that doesn’t work, you could try a clay bar. And if that doesn’t work, you could go really ‘old school’ and try methylated spirits, being careful not to get it on your paintwork!

Thanks, SRGTD.

Probably gonna take it to a detailer & see what they think....then just got to think of a way to sort the dust or whatever it is inside the headlights. Didn't envisage these kinds of issues haha.
