I think most people would go with vpower or any other high end petrol/diesel to get the most out of the map...I imagine that most people on here are running on high end petrol/diesel anyway, depending what their car is of course.

If you have petrol then use the super/premium stuff. If you have a diesel you're wasting your money on the premium ones, just use standard

I see, having vpower would help alot with the gains or any other high end diesel...I think you can set the map to what type of petrol you use like 97 ron or 99ron..not sure about diesel though

supermarket fuel, whether it is petrol or diesel, only meets the minumum british fuel standard as required by the industries regulatory body.
it therefore does not have the various additives to minimise soot deposits, keep injectors clean, etc that premium fuels have. the sulpher content also reduces the life of diesel particulate filters, and results in premature warning lights being displayed

Agree with this on derv, I used V-Power after remap until it got stupidly expensive, so went back to standard fuel. Can't say I've noticed any difference in performance or economy since, nor any DPF frequency changes.

I do avoid supermarket fuels though, stick to the well known retailers ;)

ive been an avid user of vpower diesel for about 3 years after a map, since changing the map i use 1 tank of vpower to 3 tanks of normal shell fuel purely for the cleaning properties that it offers the tractor engine as it offers no noticeable power/responsiveness changes

on the previous map i used to use vpower everytime as the car was more responsive when using it

Mate, it's diesel not diesal.

I'm just saying because you don't seem to be twigging on to the little hints here.

Agree with Jarre, Vpower diesel is no more potent that the regular stuff, it just has more detergent in it.

I always run mine where possible on V-Power Diesel, simply for the fact that i get an average of +80 miles to a tank and as previously stated contains lots of good cleaning detergents :) in terms of performance i would imagine it would be a marginal gain if any, it does have a higher cetane rating (diesel version of octane) In the few times Ive had to use the standard stuff Ive always used shell, call me a snob but i wouldn't touch supermarket diesel.
