Evening all, noob here when it comes to working on cars but have started tinkering with my Cupra and am now thinking I may be ready to tackle replacing the discs and pads on the better halfs Altea. It,s a 14 plate 1.6 diesel. Is this a relatively easy job that a beginner can do or shall I put it in a garage?
Any hints or tips would also be welcome. Cheers, Boab.

Doing discs and pads is easier than doing just pads because if you damage the discs getting the pads off it doesn't matter. If your confident jacking it, putting it on axle stands and removing a wheel. You might as well give it a go. Worse case scenario, you can't do it. You put the wheel back on and take it to a garage.

Not sure if this classes as a tip, but get some ceratec lube. It's ace. Don't use copper grease on the pads to stop them squealing.
