I have seen some of you guys talking about the rear LED's on the newer release, however I have not seen anyone who has actually done it, or looked into the cost?

So has anyone done it?
Got Pics?
Part Numbers and Costs?

The LED rear lamps (4 pieces) can be installed on earlier Exeo versions by the dealer.
Price is appr. GBP 300,- for the lamps only.
The dealer has to make some adjustments in the software, an EEPROM or so.

There's no F in Quality..
I've posted in the Sere Motors section, and asked David to provide us with prices for the items mcdonald has listed above ;)

Would be interesting to find out if the dealer modifications can be done via vag-com, if it they are actual hardware/ecu changes.....

Each lamp is appr. £ 65,--, The dealer will probably add some extra for installing but a good dealer wouldn't.

As far as I know this is not possible via vag-com.

The information comes from the Spanish forum http://clubseatexeo.com/es/index.html
I've heard some guys on that forum are working at the spanish dealers garages.
Also the german forum provides a lot of info about the LED lamps: http://www.seatforum.de/forum/showthread.php?t=160162

I had them installed a few weeks ago.

The Belgian dealer received an internal email message in march from Seat explaining that it was possible to replace the rear lights with LED's.

It would have cost me around €325 (I got them for free with the purchase of the car :) )
Mine is a saloon.

You should do it, it looks MUCH better, especially at nightfall. They look like bull's horns (Spanish version [B)] )

I don't think so, I left the car with the dealer because he needed a couple of hours.
I wasn't there to see what they did...

You can't fully program the rear LED lamps with VAGcom (VCDS) beside dimming the intension of the LEDs. I've tried VCDS and other programs like VAG-Commander without succes.

You'll need VAS-PC for this. It has an option to switch from bulb to LED and vice versa. The only thing you have to do is to select the option in VAS-PC, follow the given steps and it will program an EEPROM somewhere in the car for you.

Replacing the rear lamp units is an easy job and the programming takes appr. 5 minutes.
