RNS310 V3 Maps Installed

I have just finished installing the V3 UK maps for the RNS310 and have some good news!

Full postcodes now work! Where you would normally enter a partial 4 or 5 digit postcode you can now enter a full postcode. I have only stuck in my home postcode and looked at the route list to make sure, but it all seems to work I am unsure how up to date the postcodes are with newer areas (hopefully reasonably), but better than nothing!

I thought a few of you with the media system 2.0 might be interested to know this. The maps are the Tele Atlas FX 2011 maps.

very interesting I have the 2.0 system but to be honest not had any issues I travel all over the UK to visit our different sites and even though I pretty much know the way there so far has been spot on but then I also know the full address and the traffic avoidance has been pretty good too even though it is a bit strange taking a different route to the one your used too

But then I reckon I can claim the update back through expenses so may go for it any way

all those with FL's please note that the RNS310 is a different manufactuer to the RNS315 and V3 is on a CD not an SD card, so dont get too excited just yet

My 2.1 has the maps built in, don't need a cd or sd card in to run unlike the original 2.0, not sure which model this is

Yup, just to confirm the RNS310 (Media System 2.0) is a Blaupunkt unit, and the RNS315 (Media System 2.1/2.2) is a Technisat unit.

These maps work to add full postcode support to the RNS310 (Media System 2.0) only.

So looks like there are no new map updates for the RNS315 then, have to wait for the 2.2 release then - which has to include new map data as it gives 7 digit post code.

I have a Leon FR with 2.0 can you advise me what I need to do to get postcodes please ? Mine currently only seems to have main roads does that sound right to you ? Its totally useless ?
