Where did you get that silver control panel fascia mate? Looks much better than the standard black one, and how much was it?
I had one of those on my Toledo... Got it on German eBay.
Thats where I got mine from
£35 in total I think it was.
Rookwise.... how bigger pain in the butt is it to wire up the fog lamps?
I've got new grills and the lamps, and know it needs a new light switch, is the wiring there or do i need to make a loom up?
BTW... nice car m8.. well impressed..
Cheers
The wiring loom isn't there mate. You will need to get it from SEAT themselves. It earths near the battery then clips into the front panel behind the bumper. You also need an adaptor for the headlight wiring as you have to remove a wire out of the headlight loom plug (number 3 wire I think it was) and refit it into a new plug connector for the fog lights. Cable tie the fog light wiring loom to the cars other wiring either side.
Fog light loom is about £40ish
You will also need a new light switch for the dash. They are around £87 for the one with front fogs.
To remove the light switch. Push the switch handle inwards and then turn clockwise to release the clips as the unit is spring loaded.
If you have a faulty dimmer switch. Its a good idea to replace that as well while the light switch is out. They're £57 just for the dimmer rocker switch alone.
To be honest. For the parts you need. It would have been far better and much cheaper to buy the complete fog light kit from SEAT as its only £135 and you get everything you will need (fogs, grills, light switch, cable ties, wiring loom + plug, blanking plug, chrome grill kit, instructions)
If you've removed the bumper before. It wont take long to fit the fog light kit. Main
problem is getting the power wire out of the headlight loom plug. Also remember to use the cable ties on the fog light loom as its quite easy to cut the loom into 2 piece's when fixing the bumper back on the car (I did it but soldiered them back together and everything works fine)
