running problems

Hi, new to the forum.
I bought a leon cupra tdi on the weekend. Drove it back 170 mile trip with no problems. After getting home, got in and it didnt sound good. was down on power and rattled.
Gave it a oil and filter change and ran good for a day or soo but problem re-appered.
Any ideas guys?

would this cause the problem to come and go or would i have these symptons all the time with a knackered cam?

i rev'd the car for a couple of minutes and problems went. Does this sound like something sticking?

some more info would be good--how many miles on the clock/age any recent work I'd try a new fuel and air filter then a vag com where are you? someone local may be able to help

2004 just hit 188k!
i no mileage is high but got seat history till around 150k. The guy i bought it from has had it since 94k.
Only thing recent is new alternator in feb
im near Dudley, west midlands

m.o.t run out soo will try and get it done next week and see what garage thinks about the problem

Had m.o.t today and it passed
spoke to the guy at the garage and he recons its the injectors
are injectors going a common fault on these engines or anyone had a similar problem?
