Rusty brake calipers

Hi,

I'm hoping to test drive a Leon fr sport on Saturday morning (2019).

I noticed in one of the pictures that the brake calipers at the front are quite rusty. Now I know it's probably just surface rust, but was wondering if this is a common issue?

It seems strange on a year old car?

It's more of a cosmetic thing for me and I could take the calipers off, rub down the surface rust, prime and paint with brake caliper paint. But... I don't like messing with brakes on modern cars.

That's slightly worse than normal but nothing to be concerned about,, must of had some harsh products used to clean it often.

It is not an issue though, wheel off, wire brush job and some hammerite smooth silver will sort it out, or just leave it will not affect the car
