Sat Nav Updates

Recently taken a delivery of a Leon SE with the Tech Pack including Sat Nav.

Does anyone know who actually makes this unit and how one goes about registering for the 3 years worth or updates for the Nav unit.

Or are updates provided by the dealer?

My dealer said they would update the sat nav when I get it serviced there but I have to ask them to do it. I will believe it when u see it. I thought I had a problem with the nav unit not accepting post codes. I didn't realise there a separate button on the key board for entering post codes and neither did my dealer. In the manual iterates that u can but doesn't say anything about he button. My dealer said it might come on an update which I would have to ask them to do when I take it back to them for a service.

It would be handy to know if that's not the case.

I don't know about the 'updating', its just on an SD card. Unless they will swap the cards for you I can't see it hapening...... (Normally the card will be read only to avoid any accidental loss of data)
