SC door trim rattles

I know this has been covered many times but thought I'd ask...

So my 66 plate SC's door trims rattle like 30 year old Fiesta. I've booked it in 6 weeks ago, a technician agreed they need doing after a drive, took it back in yesterday to then be told (after they had it for a day) that they don't have the parts and I'd need to bring it back again in two weeks....

My question is, has anyone been in for this fix recently and and does the solution offered ("thicker plastic membranes in the doors") actually work?

The dealer mentioned a service bulletin for the problem, it's a 66 plate car so I would have thought the rattles would have been sorted long ago but I guess not.

When I did mine about a year ago, it was a 63 plate Leon Mk3.

Booked in the work for 9am Sat, 2 of them took a test drive, perhaps to pin point the rattles, rattles was on the drivers side...they removed the door trim/panel, put some expanding foam noodle thing, decided since they're at it, they did the passenger front door as well.

By 1030 am they were done, rattle free, and music sounded better as well!

However they were aware a week prior that I was coming in for rattling doors.
