Seat altea keeps cutting out

Hi looking for advice my car keeps cutting out at 250miles or so even with a full tank of diesel. It looses power wont start for 5 or so minutes then will go again for about 2 miles if I fill it back up again it will drive ok for about the same miles.
I'm not mechanically minded and the garage cannot seem to find the fault. Anyone had this issue

Not quite sure I understand the problem (250 miles then 2 miles??) but has the fuel filter been changed at all as a first simple (and cheap) step - often overlooked and can get clogged, particularly if the cheaper end of diesel is used.

Hi yes a new fuel line/ sender was fitted less than a year ago. I'm not sure why I've developed this issue I've owned the car for 3 years only been an issue over the last 3months
