I am thinking about swapping me Ford Focus estate for one of these beauties.

I know what you are thinking Focus estate - had to have it when i crashed me saxo VTR because my wife hadgiven birth to me son born at same time.

I want to know all opinions about this motor.
including from present owners :-
1. Does it come with a spare wheel (not tire weld)
2. Any one running with a baby seat in it and , is is a git to put in?
3. Do locking wheel knuts come as standard?
4. Re mapping ? what does it entail , would it be noticeable to an insurance company?
5. What sort of deals has any one had from this model when purhcasing it from a dealer ?
6. Is the passenger seat a access plus (slides forward to allow rear seat access) ?
7. Is it based on a Refence model or the Reference sport ?
8. Am I too old to have one . 36 - will I look like a a complete spaz :D

Any help or advice would be apreciated or words of wisdom.

Currently the wife has a VW Gold 1.9 TDI 130BHP.

Cant understand why people buy fiesta zetec S TDI , whne they can get a ibiza FR for same price and its VW build .

Thanks .

Thanks for the info chaps.

The does'nt seem to be much info about what actually comes (spec and tech) wise with this car and the dealers cant ched much light on it.

I have put a request into to seat for a full spec sheet.
Then i could choose this or the normal 1.9 tdi sport model.

May check out the chesterfield Seat dealer (AutoWorld).

:D

Cruise control
Climate control
16" prefacelift FR wheels
FR bumpers front and rear
Steering wheel controls
Height adjusting passenger seat
Front fogs

THEN THE PARTS i WOULD LOVE TO RETROFIT TO MY FR

Electric and heated folding mirrors :(

Seat are offering 0% on this one as well as the normal sport tdi.

For those who actually have one

Does the passemger seat come with the access plus on the passenger seat and height adjustment on the driver seat.
Also is the radion the new 2008 one with the mp3 stuff.

Also the model is based on a normal 2007 reference so does it have disc brakes on the rear ?

one last thing does it handle well. only test drove a tdi sport and that was ok.

Oracle9I.

One last thing. if any one knows of a dealer that will drop a FR to £12,500 and give me an average Glasses part chop for me car then please post as i may chnage me mind to a FR

Yeah it's a special edition spec'd up to make people buy them and run out the mk4

Hit the nail on the head!!! - Was in the Dealers last night and happended to come across one in their showroom - In a stylish Red, with the FR more aggresive front/rear bumpers - had a 1.4TDi engine. The guy said essentially it IS an FR but cheaper!? *confused*

The guy told me they are sticking all the parts left onto the Mk4's to create special editions, to sell them all off, before the Mk5 Ibiza comes out!

Oracle, can I ask why you think you will look a "spaz" owning a Mk4 Ibiza?

EDIT: I would have been VERY interested myself, if i didnt already own a Mk4 ... but then, if i didnt, i probably wouldnt be visiting the SEAT dealer anyway!
