Hi
Was looking for some advice and hoping someone has had a similar issue. Got a problem with my Seat Leon MK3 1.2 whereby it cuts out randomly. Started a year ago and after calling the AA, they diagnosed it with a faulty in-tank fuel pump. Got this replaced with one from salvage and all was fine. Then about 2 months ago the problem re-surfaced and again to do with the fuel pump as the only way to get the car to re-start when it has the problem is to give the fuel pump a good few knocks. I replaced it again with a second hand fuel pump but the problem still remained. Thought it could be a dodgy part so bought a brand new one from dealers. This seemed to fix the problem but only for a month and the problem is back again. I suspect there is something that is causing the fuel pumps to burn out possibly? Could it be the fuel pump relay? where exactly is this located on my model? Any other ideas?
thanks in advance
