Seat Leon ST tailgate - shutting

Can anyone confirm if you need to use your shoulder/arm to push the the boot lid to fully close.

If I use the weight of the boot lid once past the gas struts and let it drop, the boot lid sits on the latch as opposed to fully closing.

This is on a Seat Leon Estate (ST)

Just been out to check on ours - it will latch on its own without assistance once you get it moving.

We've had two STs. From anything more than a foot up, you just drop the thing and it closes. You should not have to put any pressure at all on it to close it. Something it wrong.

Is the handle sticking? They're good at that.
