you havent installed an aftermarket aerial have you? i know i have as i think the standard one is fooking huge, but i dont know if this effects my reception, i reckon it might as i know that digital tv's need booster aerials sometimes so making it smaller and crapper aint going to help, but again all i do is listen to ipod

Hi Mav Yesterday i travelled from the West of Scotland to lincol via Birmingham and Nottingham. I can not even get that radio stations and I am having to continuosly updated my radio stations. Not sure if this is normal as it is the only Dab radio i have had

I must admit I don’t use the DAB tuner very often so not sure what this and that does on this thing but in the DAB setting’s there is an option called “DAB station tracking” and I wonder if you have this option ticked.

My guess is something to do with switching to other stations in the same group but on a different transmitter similar to the FM’s RDS system.

I could have this wrong but that's my guess as to what station tracking does.

Looking at the maps for the Media system 2.0, the web site says 6 digit post code search.

I have the 2.2 system which has full post code routing. The OP is up-grading from 2.1 to 2.2 so this is what he should have if they upgrade to the latest system.

Not sure when they changed from 2.0 to 2.1 but I was a bit worried that I would end up with 2.1 and the 6 digit post code but was lucky with the my Leon being built in Sept/Oct 11 that it came with 2.2.

Graham, Chris & Kev, thanks for your help with the DAB & Map issue so far........

As an update my Cupra is in the Dealers again tomorrow as SEAT UK need some more information from the Media System......... I have learnt that if you keep your Setup button pushed in for 10 secs or more it puts the unit into Service Mode........not sure what it does but will find out at the Dealers tomorrow.

Will keep you all updated when I get more Info...........

Hi Kev,

Well my Cupra has spent 4 hours now at the dealers & the foreign writing is still there....... finally the dealer got a response from Seat Technical, just to be told that they are now aware of the fault but won't rectify it under warranty all it is a nuisence to the owner, bloody cheek. the dealer can't assign the Technicians tme to it either so they've lost out.

They say it will be rectified with the next update, I have also learnt through VW that the 2.1 system wil not get the 7 digit postcode update due to licensing issues.

Bottom line don't buy this update !!!!!

Irfan, what do you know abut the update in June ?
