Hi, this is the headlight on my 13 plate FR, is it a single or double? I ask because when sidelights are on i only see 1 bulb light up, the one on the right.

I'm assuming it is a UK spec. My car is pre-facelift and works like this.

Should be a twin bulb headlamp unit which has two small sidelamp bulbs and 2 large headlamp bulbs. One unit on each side of the car.

Switch position 1. Just the two small sidelamp bulbs on each side of the car.

Switch position 2 and dipswitch forward. Two small sidelamp bulbs and one (dipped) bulb.

Switch positon 2 and dipswitch back. Two small sidelamp bulbs, one dipped bulb and one main beam bulb.

So others can see it - here is your link - http://i58.tinypic.com/15z5eo9.jpg

Yes that is double headlamp.

You have the dip beam and a sidelight on in the pic.

The other bulb that is not on is the main beam.

Yeah I have dipped beam on in the pic, so if I were buying some new sidelight bulbs would I need 2 bulbs or 4?

My pre-facelift double headlamps have two sidelamp bulbs in each lamp unit as I explained above.

Ah! - even more cost cutting. I rather like two; it's a backup. I believe I have two each side at the back as well.
