Has anyone had any success updating the media system plus software on seat leon fr?
Since android 7 was released my Sony z5 compact has not worked on Bluetooth properly, it streams sound but the track information is missing and cannot use the steering wheel to skip tracks etc.

I have tried to update software but doesn't recognise the update on the formatted USB and sd card I have tried!

I have software version 0425 currently

Thanks

Sony Z5 Xperia is the problem

Hi thanks, software update installed, but still no Metadata (track info) or track skipping support for the Sony Z5 compact with Android 7.1.1

Looks like a roll back to 6 for now - Sony gone down in my estimations.

Thanks!

this may help in some of the android phones with unstable connection
Parameters -> Location -> hit the 3 littles dots (Or your menu button) -> Search
Disable "Bluetooth Search"

or
Settings - Bluetooth - Bluetooth Scanning (Turn it off)

you can have MIB2 unit? as far i know this issue is related to MIB1 car under 2014/15 and not probably all phones with Android 7 depend on BT version supported on phone

That's one for the guys on the firmware thread

Broken / long cable was my issue on a mib2 high when Android Auto started to play up. Best to rule out a defective cable first, needs to be no more than 1 metre else the data flows gets messed up. Mind you I don't use Android Auto but just wanted to get it working in case I did.

Some recent versions of the standard mib2 firmware have issues with Android so you get advised to update the firmware to fix for that. Experts are on that thread and a sponsor. Some you can do yourself. Version 515 is the most recent release for mib2 standard but I bow to the experts of any sequencing in updates required and what works with what, they know that over there. I've never done one, paid for my high to be updated with the navigation FeCs adjusted for Mapcare. FeC adjustments isn't a DIY task, firmware update is if you know what you are doing and get good info on which release to use.
