That is not a very clear question, the only way that you will find out of your car is eligible for any S/W updates is to hand it into a SEAT main dealer.
Be aware that there are a few classifications of S/W updates, some will be "safety" in which case DVLA and your
dealership, if you are on their list as a customer, will contact you directly - next will be S/W updates concerning emissions and these will normally get applied without your consent when the car is handed in for service or repair - next will be S/W updates that are available but only applied if the customer reports a specific
problem on any of the car's systems.
But, if your car has been away from the SEAT main
dealership service circuit for too long, it will have missed some or all of these S/W updates and it seems that information S/W updates gradually get removed from
dealership's visibility - and so when you ask or submit your car you will get a firm "no" to that question. None of these S/W updates ever disappear from SEAT Mothership databases though and a
dealership can request SEAT Mothership technical support if they have reason to think that there is an issue that has in the past been resolved by S/W update, but so much time has passed as to move that info out of sight of the dealerships.
I have been there done that and failed once with a 2002 VW Polo in 2008 - a well listed issue with some engine issues but my VW main
dealership just would not move on that, so I lived with clearing illogical engine faults for the next 7 years!
I have also been there done that with a late 2009
SEAT Ibiza 1.4 16V SC with a little talked about battery discharging issue, again failed with my first SEAT
dealership, eventually approached Arnold Clark SEAT in Edinburgh and they knew what I was talking about, submitted a technical support request from SEAT Mothership and got directed to the correct BCM S/W update and that issue was resolved.
So it can be done, but really if you are a new owner of that car, I'd think that you would need to have an issue in mind before you would get any SEAT
dealership to dig deep or give you a free "update search" - you would need to pay for that and for any S/W updates to get applied, the actual S/W updates will always be free though, it is the
dealership's "hands on" time that you will need to pay for both to check the car over and find and process the S/W update.
