Just a quick update on the going's on at this years Britcar 24hr.

Things started very well for the BPM Seat leon Supercopa, all the drivers showed some great pace in testing and translated it into a class pole....by 4 seconds! Rob's blistering 2.06 round the Silverstone GP circuit saw us 20th overall from 60 and 1st in class 4.
The speed continued into the night qualifying with us again posting the fastest class time and lighting up the 1st timing screen as the 14th fastest car overall.

As raceday arrived, we started well and maintained our position until nightfall. The team once again pulled off some magic with a searingly fast repair from a crash with a BMW during Ash's stint but around 25 minutes into my outing the engine stopped and I ground to a halt at the back end of the circuit. The rain was already heavy but as it hammered down just after midnight it looks like wet electrics may well have been our downfall. The guys worked valliantly to get it fixed, but to no avail forcing us to retire just after midnight.

So, a sad and soggy end after so much promise but many positives to take with us to the next round at Donington Park. BPM will be back!!

Massive thanks to Rob and Greg for coming to drive with us and big thanks also to all the volunteers for all your help and support!
Well done to the Welch Seats, who managed a fantastic 7th and 10th overall - great work fella's!
