I have tried eBay and googled every local breakers yard nearest I have found for a front crash bar is hour and a half away and doesn't have other bits I need. Would a front crash bar for a MK4 golf or a Seat Altea fit as I might be able to source more easily?

Are there any standardized parts with other VAG vehicles?

Hi, have you tried here Parts Catalogue? You can enter your VIN or search by type & year. Once you have the part number it might make your google search easier.

Local guy just got back to me, 30 quid for the front crash bar, other guy quoted me 15 but it's a 3 hour round trip so best off paying the extra need to get hold of the fixing bolts as the ones on the lights were seized and literally snapped off, any ideas on how to remove the remaining bits and replace? I've tried blow torch but can't get the removal tool to bite.
