I want to get some stance on my Leon :)

But I see there can be a bit more of s science than some think. As in the right amount can improve the handling of the car by squaring up the back end?

I saw someone has said they just spacer'ed the rears out 15mm and claimed it had mant he car perfect. 15mm on the back sounds good to me, but thought maybe 5mm on the front 20mm on the back to keep the 15mm extra on the back going on. I will paste in the thread if i can find it.

I hear that spacer'ing too much aint good.

Also do I want hub centric spacers? or not?

The car is designed with a narrower rear track for a reason, not by accident. It promotes faster handling with the rear end following the front more accurately. 15mm spacers on the rear alone does stabalise the rear end under braking, but can lead to more understeer and less sharp turn-in. 15mm spacers all round is bob on IMO.

What do you all recommend to do about wheel bolts? An extra set so the spacer bolts to the hub then the wheel to the spacer or just longer ones? I want to keep the OEM locking wheel nut and covers if possible

I use longer bolts with a set of mcguard longer locking bolts all round.

so 15mm all round? yes? is this guna cause problems up front? when turning the arch hitting the wheel, if i say hit a bump while turning?

with standard LCR wheels (et38) and 15mm spacers all round I get absolutely no rubbing at the front, even when on the ragged edge through carousel! I do get a bit of rubbing at the back, but only when properly loaded up, and it is only the plastic arch liner, which is slowly being worn away!

you 100% sure 15mm all round on a Leon 1.6 (with a LCR kit, lowered 30-40mm - to be) is my best option? and that 20mm rear and 5mm with cause more problem. y the way my only theory is that I hear 15mm on the back was perfect and the front needs to come out at least 5mm so 5mm on front and 20mm on the back would be the same as keeping 15mm extra over the rear.

up to you buddy. You could buy a pair of 15mm spacers, try them on front and rear, see how you like/don't like the difference and go from there? Thats what I did.

*edit: 15mm rear rubs occasionally..I wouldn't want to try 20mm personally.

sounds like a good plan, my only thought would be if i decide i wana go 20mm on the back and 5mm on the front then im guna have a set of 15mm that i just lost money on, but if you say 20mm but from you edit it sounds like 20mm isnt guna be a good idea, if i guna be sensible with how much im lowering then I should be sensable on how much Im guna spacer out.

How low you Danny? or are you art stock ride height? LCR will be 10mm or 15mm lower than my 1.6 wen both at standard anyway, i believe.
