Spare Key for 2011 Leon

Hi all,

I've gone through the forum and found various posts about how to get yourself another remote spare key.

I like most people received 1 remote fob with flip key and 1 non remote spare key.

If I do the following will it work?

1) Buy blank blade from ebay
2) Get blade cut
3) Take transponder out of the spare non remote key and insert into newly cut key from ebay
4) Follow the "manual programming"
5) Enjoy 2 remote keys.

I have a 2011 Leon, the posts seem to relate only to the mk1s - is this correct?

You may be able to program it but you still have the issue of the immobiliser you need the key to be programmed for that by seat

what you said will work Ive done it to my wife's Ibiza as it only came with plain key
