I would also like to know what's the best plugs to use for my remapped LCR? Got my 40,000 mile service due in 500 or so miles and would rather buy better plugs than standard ones if possible.

NGK PFR6Q Platinum plugs are standard fitment, £5.95 each plus VAT. Some people fit Iridium plugs which are supposedly higher performance and surprisingly a bit cheaper too at £5.50 each plus VAT. NGK part number for Iridium is BKR6EIX. You could also get Denso Iridium plugs but they're very expensive and in my opinion not worth the extra cash.

You can get them here: www.sparkplugs.co.uk

i fitted a set of Bosch Super 4, which i got off CoxW, im not too impressed by them, firstly took the car to top speed on the motorway last night and it only reached 140. and near teh end it was struggling abit, the car has recently had its major 40k service.

secondly i get a slight slower spot during midrange revs.

the original plugs were single point NGK's.

im gonna clean out the MAF and see if that makes a difference.

I dont think halfords do sell these!!! I had a look last night when i was in there getting oil for my renault 5 gtt

the NGK PFR6Q plugs are the ones to get for both LC's and LCR's according to NGK's spec list.

I used http://www.mistersolutions.co.uk for my plugs. very cheap and quick delivery

0.8mm gap as well if you needed to know

Hi Guys, My car is now due its 40 k service, having the typical debate over oil and plugs & dealer/non dealer..........

What oil do you recommend ? 5w30 Fully Synth? 10w 40?, also VAG OEM filter or an after market one as im going to change these this afternoon! lol

Plugs - NGK all the way from what ive read, although im sure the difference is negligable
