Hi

I have just received a boot spoiler I ordered (5door) for a decent price painted, so I just need to fit it myself however there are no instructions. It come with the adhesive tape on the back of the spoiler and 2 additional triangle pads (not sure watch they are for ?) And I've ordered some tigerseal as it didn't come with any adhesive. Having linned it up on the car it is tricky to get it perfect first time as there will be a 1-2mm gap each side. Just wondered how others have gone about fitting theirs and how the gaps should look close up (I've seen some badly fitted) ?

Thanks

Some have got body shops to do it, as quite a few have bought the eBay ones from Poland. I take it yours is genuine, dare I ask how much and where from?

I think personally I'd do it myself trial fitting it, checking all angles and using masking tap to mark the exact positions each side where I'm happy with it. Then taking the spoiler off get the adhesive ready and then somehow clamp it down into place, maybe using some G clamps or ratchet clamps/more masking tape or something.

Might not be perfect but given the experiences I've had with body shops in the past I've yet to find one which is as anal as me with **** like this.

Thanks for the input, yes this is a genuine one, I got it from a private seller on eBay for little over £100, it was professionally painted the right colour too. masking tape to line it up could be useful, thanks for the tip

sounds like you've done well at that price too. the ones from Poland are about £70 and apparently need a bit of fettling and prep work to fit before painting.
