Hi All,

In the brake disk replacement guide on the main page the hub is sprayed with copper grease....

Can some one please tell me where I can get it from as I have only seen it in tubes or tubs and I hope to replace my disks in the next week or so.

Cheers,

They aren't mine, I 'borrowed' that pic from the online guide to show what I was on about.

It was Neeleyveeley's car which has since been nicked, but your right he was very heavy on the brakes and didn;t clean his car too often

i've had a tube for about 5 years now, doesn't over spray like that either

It was virtually pitch black by that time and Dalepearson got a bit carried away spraying in the dark.

It was meant to be a light mist of copper grease......sure the people who nicked Neil's car appreciated the effort we went to

I'm surprised it needed copper grease, he replaced the brakes every other week! :cartman:

Oi you lot my brakes worked just fine - ok admit I was a little heavy at times but they never actually failed me or I'd not be here now. Also make sure you get that odd sized 18mm spanner too - luckily we found a place to buy one as it was the one size we seemed not to have to hand.

Yeap and it was a b1tch to undo even then, WD40 + big spanner + Dale with a rubber mallett, had to be seen to be believed.

Well I've been to Halfords and found the empty space on the shelf where the 3-in-1 spray should have been:( , but did find their own brand version on a different shelf on the other side, (well it would be a bit to easy if they kept like products in the same place!!!). I just hope Halfords own is OK. Discs arrived today as well so lets hope for a dry weekend.
