Well that entirely depends on what you want from a car, the M140i was all about the drive train / engine / RWD setup. Unfortunately I bought the manual because (#SaveTheManuals) but that wasn't a manual box worth saving. If you do for some reason decide to get the BMW go for the ZF-8 speed, it's night and day better.

The other primary issue with the M140i was the overly stiff suspension, it really did start to grate after a while because our roads are just too broken for that sort of setup. Although you can buy some decent aftermarket fixes for this.. As for the Formentor I've never been so confused about a car, I can see why people love them and I can also so why people feel the opposite. It's a car that requires a long test drive me thinks..
